Students take the 2021 released STAAR as a mock-exam to collect data.
Students can either take the test in increments, or at once in one sitting.
Analyze your student data.
Allow students to track their own data so they know where they are on each standard.
Next, decide if you want students to complete all stations, or only the ones that they missed. Decide how you'll group them, or if you want them to rotate through the stations independently.
Print the station cards double sided on card stock. The question category will appear on the back (for example- simplifying radical expressions).
You may opt to laminate them for increased durability.
Arrange your room in a good seating configuration for the stations.
Put cards in the middle and a mini activity aligned to that question type for students to practice after looking at the card.
At the end of the class period review answers either whole-group, or one-on-one.
