Every classroom needs some sort of classroom organization system. I have six periods and each of my classes store their journals in labeled bins.
I post vocabulary words in a "word wall" area on my wall using tweed for string and I hang them using mini clothes pins.
Every student has a "number" and any small supplies they may need are stored here by the door for quick and easy access.
This TicTacToe board serves as extra credit. When students finish their assignments early they can grab an aligned SAT question from one of the slots.
Student work is displayed on a small bulletin board using clothes pins in front of a piece of black card stock to add a bit of contrast.
Students who score above "masters" on quarterly exams get their photo taken with a trophy and are showcased on this wall.
When students enter the room they look here to see what supplies are needed for the day. This minimizes wait time later on.
Just a little motivation around a mirror. Check your outfit, or take a quick selfie 📷.
My data wall is on a section of my dry erase board. The data is always written cumulatively and the letters are magnetic so they move about easily.
I only allow one student out of the room at a time. If you take the hall pass, turn on the light💡so the rest of the class knows that someone is out!
